Food in Georgia — Is Halal Available?
This is the most common question Pakistani students ask. The answer is yes — halal food is easily available in Tbilisi, especially in areas with large Muslim student populations.

Outside Tbilisi (in cities like Batumi or Kutaisi), halal options are more limited — something to factor in when choosing your university location.
Safety in Georgia
Georgia is consistently ranked as one of the safest countries for students. Pakistani students generally report feeling very safe.

Honest Things to Prepare For
- 🗣️ Language barrier: Many older Georgians speak only Georgian or Russian. Younger people and university staff speak English. Google Translate is your friend.
- 🏥 Healthcare: Good hospitals are available in Tbilisi. Private clinics are affordable ($20–40 per consultation). Get health insurance.

- 📶 Internet: Excellent in Tbilisi — fast and cheap. Magti and Geocell are main providers.
- ✈️ Flights: Tbilisi International Airport has connections via Istanbul (Turkish Airlines) and Dubai (flydubai, Air Arabia). Flight time from Pakistan is 4–6 hours.
